Solution Description:

AT&T can deliver a comprehensive emergency communications platform for redundant, resilient and highly secure transmissions for voice, data and video. FirstNet, the nationwide broadband network dedicated exclusively to the first responder community, serves as the backbone that enables an emergency alert system with priority and pre-emptive capabilities to ensure that communications will always go through, even if local systems are down. FirstNet can augment or replace existing LMRs, pagers and the Air Forces’ primary alerting system, with lightweight, portable equipment that can be hardened with state-of-the-art subminiature protection components. The solution also interoperates with other emergency communications systems. The AT&T PAS solution was designed to be shielded from High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (or HEMP). Hundreds of dedicated facilities across the country were built to survive a nuclear attack, supporting hardened communications for no-fail redundant services within CONUS and select OCONUS locations. AT&T provides a multi-layered approach to security in communications – from our physically hardened facilities to the robust network infrastructure that we own, operate and interconnect in more than 225 destinations. Newer technologies, such as 5G, enable our armed forces to leverage platforms, sensors and devices to accelerate military operations and more efficiently process intelligence at the edge.
